Coco: One of My Favourite Pixar Films So Far?

If you know me, you’ll know that IΒ adoreΒ Pixar films. My favourite film for as long as I can remember has been Monsters Inc., and I proudly display my Pixar box set on my shelves. I even went through a phase where I’d keep looking at the jobs board on the Pixar website to see if my dream job would pop up, and I’d wait patiently for the day when I could move to LA to start my career at the Pixar studios. Sadly, that day never came. πŸ™

For as long as I can remember, I've adored Pixar films. So when Disney/Pixar announced Coco last year, I couldn't wait! Here's what I thought...

Every time Pixar announce a new film, I’m instantly excited. (Unless it’s a new Cars film. Or Toy Story 4. Toy Story 3 ended perfectly, god damn it.) In today’s CinemaScoop post, I’m going to talk about what I thought of Pixar’s latest release,Β Coco. (I’ll say now, this post – and probably every CinemaScoop post from now – will definitely not be as long as my review of The Greatest Showman. Wow, that was an essay.)

CinemaScoop: Introduction(a.k.a. What the Heck is CinemaScoop?)

CinemaScoop: Introduction
(a.k.a. What the Heck is CinemaScoop?)

CinemaScoop is a new series all about my opinions on this year's new cinema releases. I love films (I have a film degree!) so I can't wait to get started!

I don’t like to set new year’s resolutions – I never have. They’re always just a little bit disappointing if you get halfway through the year and realise you haven’t started working towards one. That’s why I skip that disappointment completely by not setting any!

However, this year, I did set one goal: to go to the cinema more often. It doesn’t seem like a huge deal, but far too often I find myself too wrapped up in everyday life that I forget to have hobbies. I adore going to the cinema and last year, I felt disappointed that I missed out on so many films because I hardly ever went. This year, I want to change that.

That’s where CinemaScoop comes in.
