On one day each year, the whole world comes together to celebrate what I think, in my humble opinion, is the best species in the world: women! March 8th is International Women’s Day, and here at Wonderfully Bookish, I’m joining in the celebration with a few other great gals.
If you missed my Valentine’s Day post that I did with the four awesome people in the image above, you can read it right here. We’re all joining together again for another blog hop to celebrate International Women’s Day. We’ll each be sharing our favourite female authors, female characters, or anything to do with women in fiction!
Without further ado, here are my top four favourite female authors (in no particular order).
Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.
Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us.
The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?
In September I bought more books than I’ve bought for ages. YAY for new books, BOO for the amount I’ll now have to add to my already insanely big TBR pile! I bought books from Amazon, The Works (a British bookshop if you’re not familiar with it) and also books for my Kindle. Here’s a list of all of them with their synopsis in case you fancy reading them too!
