As well as books, I really love watching TV shows. I often prefer them to films. With TV, you can have hours to extend the story rather than fitting everything into a couple of hours. It was great doing a degree in Film & TV Production because it gave me an excuse to watch loads of TV “to study the cinematography and how it’s made”!
In this post I’ll summarise everything I’m watching at the moment on Netflix, whether they’re re-watches or new shows. If you need some recommendations, I’d definitely recommend most of these!
One of my favourite book series is the Unwind series by Neal Shusterman. The books are set in a dystopian world where children over the age of 13 can be ‘unwound’: in other words, their bodies can be taken apart piece by piece and the government decides who to give them to; people who need them most. The books specifically follow three characters, Connor, Risa and Lev, as they are sent to a ‘Harvest Camp’ (gross, I know) to be unwound. The books are written so well and I love the characterisations and the setting.
It was news to me a couple of days ago when I saw on Neal Shusterman’s Facebook page that he shared a link to some news about an Unwind film adaptation – and I don’t know if I’m excited or nervous…
It’s so close to the final! Tomorrow evening we will discover who is this year’s Queen or King of the Jungle in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! In this series, there really have been some ups and downs. From amazing trials to explosive arguments and the starter of all problems (I’m looking at you Lady C), this series has been a lot of fun to watch. The celebrities this week left the jungle feeling ecstatic to be going home and telling tales of terrible food and horrible insects. It got me thinking: how well would I survive in the jungle?
