In This Episode…
When you love a book, its screen adaptation can either hit the spot or completely miss the mark. In this fun discussion, I chat with Elle Crook, a travel and book blogger, all about film and TV adaptations, from the wonderfully great to the down right awful.
We also go on a nostalgic trip down memory lane as we chat about our favourite books from childhood, including Louise Rennison’s Georgia Nicholson series and the Ally’s World series by Karen McCombie.
Let us know which books you loved as a kid, especially if you Ally’s World – I was surprised to find someone who loved the series as much as I did!

About Elle Crook
Writer, photographer and sometimes YouTuber for FoxyTravelsUK, Elle charts her adventures around New Zealand and Australia, and hopefully one day, the globe! She focuses on hints and tips for female solo travel, adventures and activities that won’t break the bank, food, mental health, and more. Oh, and of course, she’s an avid bookworm!
Where to find Elle online
Also, Elle and I now have a podcast together!
We got on so well in this interview that when I came up with a new idea for a podcast, Elle was the first person I thought to ask if she wanted to co-host it with me. LET’S LEARN ABOUT… is a fun general knowledge podcast where each week, we take it in turns to present a new topic and we learn about it. Some of our favourite topics include awesome women throughout history, weird historical events, and anything to do with science or space. We cover literally anything, and every episode is a lot of fun, so if that sounds like your jam, check it out here!
