A Story I Wrote When I Was 7

A Story I Wrote When I Was 7

Recently, I was looking through a huge folder of stuff that I have in my room. It’s full of sensible things like bank statements and student loans letters, and fun stuff like letters from friends, and drawings I’ve done over the years. It was so much fun to look through them all!

Recently, I found a story I wrote when I was 7 about my best friend and her birthday party. I share the whole story in this post. Enjoy!

One gem I found was a story I wrote when I was 7. It’s so great that I just had to share it! You might remember a post I wrote ages ago called My First Novel, about a story I wrote when I was 11. I wrote out the whole story (in its full glory, spelling mistakes and all) as well as sharing photos of the original book. I’ll do the same with this one!

(For a bit of context before we start: Joely was my best friend at the time (and still is now). She definitely did not have a pet bird as the story suggests (you’ll see), but she did in the story, apparently.)

If you’re not sure what the Short Story Challenge is, you can read all of the details here. I’m so happy with how this challenge is going so far. I almost expected nobody to join in, but it’s so amazing to see people having fun with it! Let’s find out about this month’s challenge!

Last Month’s Challenge

Last month’s Short Story Challenge was to write a story with the following prompt:

Your character is in high school. One of their classmates is always on their own and never seems to talk to anyone. Write from the perspective of your character and also from the perspective of the shy classmate.

There weren’t as many submissions than last month, but I loved them all (well, one of them was mine, and I must say – I’m pretty happy with mine too!) Again, like last time, it was so amazing to see how people interpreted the prompt – all three stories are totally different! Thank you to those who took part. Click on the button below to read last month’s stories – comment on this post and tell us which one is your favourite!
