Listers Gotta List is a creative challenge created by Cori, a.k.a. The Reset Girl. Each month Cori released a list of prompts, one for every day of the month. Each prompt is answered with a list of some sort; usually done creatively in a notebook or sketchbook, using art and craft supplies. There are a number of great reasons to take part.
1. It encourages creativity.
This challenge encourages creativity in so many different ways. The original idea was to create lists using art and craft materials. I’ve done a couple in the past, and in a couple of ways; notebooks, created my own book with cardboard, and other ways I can’t even remember. It is a lot of fun to do but can be fairly time-consuming, which is why I’ve decided to do it on my blog.
2. It helps you learn more about yourself.
Each prompt makes you think deeply about the answer, and over time you begin to put together a big scrapbook of things about yourself. It’s interesting to look back over months later and see if you’ve changed or if your answers are still the same. It’s like keeping a journal but in list form!
3. There’s a great listing community!
The Listers Gotta List community are so friendly and will welcome newbies with open arms. The main community can be found on the Facebook page. Here, you can share your lists, ask for advice, or even fangirl about pens and stationery. It’s a great group to belong to – everyone encourages each other, and it’s also interesting to find out about other people. Because everyone does the same prompts, it’s cool to see how much the answers vary!
I’m going to be answering my LGL prompts weekly, so each week there will be a new post with my answers for up to 7 prompts. You can see these on the LGL page (click Listers Gotta List in the navigation bar). I hope you enjoy reading my answers and if you’re taking part, please let me know! I’d love to inspire someone to take part.
